Intel introduced it’s next generation of Intel Core Processors code named Haswell back in September at the Intel Developer Forum.(a.k.a IDF)
To define CPU development strategy Intel uses “Tick-Tock”; “tick” represents that existing CPU design’s which are tweaked to enhance the play where ivy bridge represents a tick, improving from Sandy Bridge processors. But Intel’s Silicon-level technology Haswell Processors represents a “Tock”.

According to leaked report by VR-Zone, the line-up for 22nm desktop processor would come up with Core i5 and Corei7 bands. Most important is the processors will be using a new socket called LGA1150. The powerful CPU might be the Intel Core i7-4770k which will have a base clock speed of 3.50GHz across 8 threads and 4 cores along with 3.9GHz boost speed and having 8MB of cache memory.

Intel is talking about Haswell based dual-core processor chips running at less than 10 watts and quad-core desktop which are outperforming Ivy Bridge Processors.
Graphics benchmarks shows Haswell is 2x fast than of the Ivy Bridge while delivering the performance with less power consumption. Intel estimated that an 8W Haswell unit could integrate a full GT3 GPU with increase in smoother experience.

Some Specials About Intel’s Upcoming Haswell Processors:
These days the importance is for the performance without loosing much battery. With Haswell, Intel has reduced the platform idle power by more than 15 times than the second generation with delivering and upgrading the performance.Intel is talking about Haswell based dual-core processor chips running at less than 10 watts and quad-core desktop which are outperforming Ivy Bridge Processors.
Better Performance from Haswell Processors:-
There is one new feature called Branch Prediction where CPU peek ahead to see which instructions has to be executed in future and it becomes more efficient while allocating CPU resources where it turns on only parts of the CPU that are needed at that time.Tablets : Next High End Gaming Solution
Haswell is build on the existing Sandy Bridge Intel HD graphics core with more power efficiency. It now offers three graphics options for the CPU’s which are certainly called as GT1,GT2,GT3. Where GT3 is the most powerful along those which also doubles the performance over the older HD4000 GPU with improvement related to texture samplers, bandwidth and circuitry to handle the tasks.Graphics benchmarks shows Haswell is 2x fast than of the Ivy Bridge while delivering the performance with less power consumption. Intel estimated that an 8W Haswell unit could integrate a full GT3 GPU with increase in smoother experience.
DirectX and OpenCL :-
Changes in Haswell will be implemented by latest DirectX 11.1 for Windows operating systems and OpenCL 1.2 for GPU computations also with the offering of Linux Drivers. Because of the increased Graphics power; Haswell Graphics core will make extremely thin Ultrabooks which probably could handle hardcore games.Chief Product Officer and Executive Vice President of Intel Corporation,Mr. David Perlmutter said,
“The 4th generation Intel Core processor family and our new line of low-power processors will usher in an era of unprecedented innovation in mobile computing,Our focus to deliver even lower power with the great performance that our processors are known for is as fundamentally significant as when we shifted our development focus beyond sheer processor speed in 2001. As a result, you’ll see our customers delivering sleek and cool convertible designs, as well as radical breakthrough experiences across a growing spectrum of mobile devices.”
